Hawk Cliff: Have the hawks and eagles flown the coop?

Friends and I took a chance, drove south to Hawk Cliff yesterday, parked the car and hoped we’d see one last eagle fly past before winter arrives.

My tales about spotting two golden eagles in the area last year and a bald eagle the day before gave us some reason for optimism.

But the skies, shoreline route for migratory birds and trees were empty.

There’s always next year.

But the area is beautiful - at least, according to your photos. That golden shore!
