Bird Watching: "Baby cardinal?"

A week ago my wife noticed a nest in our apricot tree (front-yard). And an inhabitant. Well hidden, at that.

 Since then, on some days we see life. Other days not.

This morning I finally caught a few photos, though I'll need to try again for better ones.

A male robin was nearby, but I think the inhabitant is a young cardinal. Any ideas?
