Who burned the croutons? said the little bird.
It was likely Gordon, said its sturdy friend.
What will he put on his salad now to provide a crunch? said the first.
Some of the croutons that aren't so bad, I bet, said the second.
And sure enough, Gordon found several half-burned ones that were passable, especially with a few more drops of Parmesan Balsamic dressing.
