Zoom w a View: Is the temperature perfect for blossoms?

The blossoms on our apricot tree have only lost a few petals in 8 - 10 days. Rare in my opinion.

["The blossoms are usually gone within the week": photos GAH]

Perhaps this will not only be the year for a bumper crop of apricots but for long lasting blossoms throughout London.

Photographers, pedestrians, canners, nature-lovers, those who stand on the front porch in their pajamas in the morning to take a deep breath of fresh air, etc., will be happy if this is a banner blossom year.

Is it the cool-ish temperatures? Dumb luck?

Something else?
