The Lite News: Will Sarah Palin be the next Ronald Reagan?

This is just my opinion - from afar.

Former Pres. Ronald Reagan seemed to possess a charmy, smarmy personality. In his heyday he reminded me of the type of guy who could take almost any script and turn it into a B-movie.

I mean, who will ever forget Bedtime For Bonzo, 1951?

It was so moving. (Which one was Bonzo? I forget).

Sarah Palin seems to possess the same type of personality. She has already attracted many followers with her charmy smarmy and seemingly warm-hearted ways and will soon be following Ron’s footsteps and hitting the big screen for perhaps an even bigger prize at the end - and I’m not talking about an Oscar here.

But first, she’s hitting the small screen with a B-grade reality TV show entitled ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska.’ It may take over where her second book, America By Heart, left off. I.e., trying to influence others to her way of thinkin'.

Ron wrote. Sarah writes. Coincidence?

["Ron grew the deficit and US debt too"]

Ron hammed it up for the camera. Sarah hams it up. Another coincidence?

Ron charmed the socks off a chimp and I bet Sarah could do that too if she could ever lay her hands on one in Alaska. Yet another coincidence? I think not.

["Let's go eat, then look for a monkey"]

However, until she finds that illusive chimp, she’ll hike and kayak and bear-watch and climb mountains and light bonfires for her family and shout a rallying cry to a segment of America that loves unabashedly outdoorsy (in a glammy street-fighter sort of way) charmy, smarmy politicians or people who act somewhat like politicians.

And if she finds a monkey, Sarah will be over the top.

She’s not planning to run for president too, is she?
