The Workshop PT 3: Linseed oil makes all the difference

Before: Cedar birdhouses, no linseed oil

(More details and photos here)

After: Same houses, with linseed oil and a titch of maple stain

[“The maple stain warms up the colour a notch”: photos GH]

All I have to do now is wait for the oil to dry, 7 - 10 days. And wash the oily rags.

Plus, figure out how much to charge for a one-of-a-kind, Made in Canada, rescued lumber, brilliant birdhouse.

["I mean, look at that brass window-latch perch. Cool."]

Does $10 each sound about right?

Hi bro: I'll take two with latches, might need plenty more for my 35 acres..walked up there Monday from here, took 15 mins..still a few red cranberries on the front lawn..it's windy here today, they might close the bridge. Driving up to Souris later where we got the great picture of the red baby fox years ago..at least the rain stopped for one day..love L.Dee p.s. ten dollars is okay..
