Joe's dock (2)

A couple of days ago Joe's lumber was all in bits, but now - after careful assembly - those bits look like something. Pleasant thoughts went through my mind as the birdhouses neared completion.

["The light cedar (leftovers) will be painted red"]

["Great. Almost zero wastage in the old scrap box"]

Thots:

Joe's lumber, from an old dock, will enjoy a second life

20 - 30 years from now (or more), when the birdhouses are old and tired and rotted out, they may become a source of heat in someone else's workshop

Western red cedar looks and smells delicious

Apart from dust, there is very little waste

I should build a table and a few chairs with this cedar

Today's goals - draw up those plans!
