He probably created a zillion mixed tapes with the thing. Then it busted. Now I've nabbed it.
For those not in the loop: My brother-in-law was about to toss an old radio/cassette player when I intervened. I said I'd take it.
["It was set to CBC's classical music station. Perfect!"]
It now sits in my new and improved study and I pass it - and turn it on - every morning. I'm now listening to someone play a piece on an old church organ that's got to be the size of a house. The violins are now carrying the main line. Brass declares its intentions.
Soon I'll be singing an aria for all to hear. Stand back. This may get shaky.
