Bird Watching: "breakfast is tough business"

Two female American gold finches enjoyed breakfast together at my feeder moments ago.

Then there were four... but they didn't stay together very long. A female cardinal shooed them away.

For smaller birds, getting breakfast is tough business.

Gord, looks like you are keeping busy and still being creative. We taught together back in Aberdeen (1989). Would love to connect.

Hi Ed. It is good to hear from you. Reconnecting sounds like a great idea. Still teaching, administrating or retired? Retirement suits me well and I enjoy my writing and workshop (birdhouses, feeders, shadow boxes, chairs, etc.). Still living near Port Rowan? If so, I may have motorcycled past your house a few times. email @ gharrison18@rogers.com, we'll set something up. Gord
