Bird Watching

White-crowned Sparrow

New visitor to the feeder this week. At first I identified it to my wife as either a finch, sparrow or the all-inclusive 'pretty bird'.




After extensive research at my favourite bird laboratory, I learned it was the white-crowned sparrow, an especially pretty bird, likely on its way to a local disco or far-northern breeding site.
